Award Winning Company
A Special Occasion has been recognized for its achievements on multiple occasions by the Kansas City Award Program. The Kansas City Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Kansas City area. Recognition is given to
those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value. We are proud to say we have won this award four years in a row (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017).
Client Feature
Last summer we had the pleasure of planning the wedding of the beautiful couple. The color palette they chose was absolutely stunning. We had a wonderful time bringing their vision into existence into the final product that you see. It was a fun time had by all and they were a joy to work with. Event Feature
In 2018, we created an event that would be something Kansas City had never seen before. The idea was conceived from a conversation and after some planning the inaugural Wine & Whiskey Tasting event was born. We infused the love for wine with added bonuses of whiskey and cigars. This event has been a big success for the A Special Occasion and M.A.DE. brands and we look forward to making it better for years to come. This is our passion and we love to display it.
Disease Awareness
A Special Occasion, LLC not only plans events, but we also take time out to support causes that mean a lot to us. The causes that are most dear to our hearts is the fight against breast cancer, lupus, sarcoidosis and brain aneurysm. Both of us has personal experience with having a loved one or friend battle with each of these on some level as well as seen loved one who have fought and later passed on. We do not take the struggle of those who have suffered and died from these illnesses for granted and with them in mind, we participate in any way we can to help raise money and awareness. We do this while working with organizations whose goal it is to help in the fight and to find cures. All that we do is in honor of all the ones who are battled, who conquered and who fought as long as they could but did not survive.
